MOSMAN SWANS NEWSLETTER
2017 Season Launch
2nd February 2017

Welcome to 2017 Season

Dear Members & JV Partners,

Welcome to Season 2017!

To kick of the AFL New Year, we have organised a Season Launch / How to Play Day on Sunday February 12th from 10am until 1pm at the Village Green in Mosman (adjacent to the Council Building). There will be plenty of fun and information for parents, returning players and new players.

We are delighted to announce that the Sydney Swan young-guns, Dan Robinson and Callum Mills, are both attending. Dan and Callum both started their careers right here at the Mosman Swans and will be giving advice to young players and discussing their progression from junior footy to the big league. Sydney Swans Assistant Coach and former Port Adelaide superstar, Josh Francou, is also attending along with some other special guests.

Players – please wear your footy gear (no footy boots please). The visiting players and coaches will have plenty of time to sign your jumpers and join in the games that we have planned. Don’t miss this opportunity to play footy and interact with some stars of the game in a local setting.

Bring along your friends, particularly those who are considering playing AFL. It’s never too late to start! There will be plenty of Mosman Swans Committee members, Willoughby-Mosman Swans officials and team coaches on hand to answer any questions you might have on the day.

For now, I can tell you that the season proper starts on the first weekend in April. We are unlikely to have the exact draw until mid-March, but your Age Group Co-Ordinators will be in touch shortly to advise of training dates and times.

Please let me know if you have any other questions. Otherwise, I look forward to seeing you on the 12th!

Go Swans,

Glenn Morgan
Mosman Swans President

Team-wear Apparel Partner – ISC

ISC join us this year as our Teamwear and off field apparel partner. ISC supply 5 AFL clubs including the Sydney Swans. We are delighted with the new Mosman Swans uniform which is now available to members.

Mosman Physiotherapy & Sports Injury Centre

The practice is well known to many of our members and has been established for over 40 years.

In addition to match day coverage, as part of the arrangement players will have available an “Injury Clinic” on Monday evenings in the Practice to have acute injuries assessed from the weekend prior. This will enable the triage of injuries, and have more urgent matters attended to quickly, thus resulting in less time lost from the field. These will be short consultations and still must be booked in advance.
